In January of 2025, Bishop Siegel announced the plan to move the normative age of Confirmation from 16 years old to 10 years of age. The decision culminated from almost two years' worth of investigative study, prayer, and discernment into the fundamental nature of the Sacrament of Confirmation and the desire to bring about a renewal of missionary discipleship with our diocese. Below are a series of publications, including the Bishop's pastoral letter, to help communicate the diocesan plan to facilitate this vision and aid our constituents in the transition.
