Words from Bishop Joseph Siegel

Dear Friends in Christ,

While I can only imagine the pain a miscarriage or stillbirth brings to a mother, father and family, I have shared this burden to some extent with some of my siblings and their spouses over the years and have witnessed the toll it can take.

I have been told that after the loss of an unborn child,  persons can have intense feelings of being alone and isolated in their grief.  I hope you realize that you are not alone.  First and foremost, the Lord Jesus is with you in your pain, to bestow his healing and strength.  While you may not feel His presence with you during this time, He is close to you to help you carry this cross.   Your Church is also with you and we want to assist you in any way we can.

It is my prayer for you that you may experience the love and grace of God in this time of sadness and come to know the hope and trust that flow from our faith in the Resurrection of Our Lord.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Bishop Siegel
