THE MOST HOLY ROSARY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Picture
The Madonna of the Rosary~Bartolome Esteban Murillo

In concert with the Consecration of our Diocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on September 12, beginning in October (2020), the Office of Family & Life wishes to invite individuals, parishes, and the Diocesan community to pray the rosary together monthly until the following October, similar to Saint John Paul II’s Year of the Rosary in 2002.

Those who wish to participate are encouraged to pray the rosary on the 1st Saturday of each month.  However, if this is not possible, please don’t let that stop you.

Even though we may be separated by distance or because of safety concerns, we are still united in our common prayer and community.

    Some suggested/possible Intentions:
    • In Thanksgiving for our many blessings and gifts
    • For the specific intentions of our Blessed Mother, Mary and her Son, Jesus Christ
    • For the intercession by our Blessed Mother, Mary, in our Diocese, our country, and in the world
    • For a reclamation of the inalienable rights of all human life, from conception to natural death
    • For our young people and our families
    • For all vocations:  For the Single Life, the Married Life, and the Ordained Life
    • For our personal intentions
    • For protection from evil in its many physical and spiritual forms
    • For the impoverished
    • For the intentions of Pope Francis and Bishop Joseph Siegel

This is a wonderful opportunity to pray in community, with a prayer group, your spouse, your family, your school.
Select your parish below.  We will see our prayer, united in community, at work in our Diocese on our Diocesan Rosary Map

Why the rosary?  Why now?
The Rosary is a powerful form of prayer that allows for the meditation on the lives of Jesus and Mary and has been affirmed by the Church many times over.  Our young persons, our marriages, our families, our parishes, our Church, our Nation, and indeed the entire world are in need of our Lady’s intercession as she points the Way to her Son, Jesus Christ.
