2024 RESPECT LIFE
MASS & CELEBRATION
This year’s Respect Life Celebration will focus on respecting life from conception to natural death and will involve helping promote and raise awareness of Red Bird Ministries and Pregnancy Care Centers throughout the Diocese of Evansville.
Everyone is encouraged to bring an infant sleep sack or make a donation towards their purchase. Sleep sacks will be given to local pregnancy resource centers throughout the Diocese of Evansville to help promote safe sleep practices and to lower the incidence of infant sleep related deaths in our area. Catering will be from Sander's Catering.
The cost per person is $30 a person 18 and over, $20 for those ages 17 - 6, and no charge for those 5 and under.
Individuals, Families, Groups or Businesses can reserve a table of 8 for $200.00, youth groups or college groups can reserve a table for $150.00.
Those purchasing tables can submit a logo or photo that will be printed off and used to reserve their table. Please email your file to Andie or Megan.

A Table of Remembrance will honor loved ones who have passed away. Attendees are invited to bring a photo of their loved one to place on the table.

Keynote Speaker - Father Jonathan Meyer
Father Jonathan Meyer was ordained a priest in 2003 for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. After his ordination he served as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Archdiocese. He has also served at several parishes, prior to being named as the pastor of four parishes, comprised of seven churches in Dearborn County, IN in 2021. He maintains a presence on the internet with weekly homilies and other teachings. In 2022 he began minister as a National Preacher for the Eucharistic Revival. In his spare time, he coaches Track and Cross Country; coaching at public schools for the past 13 years.

Bishop Joseph M. Siegel was raised on a farm in Lockport, IL, the youngest of nine children. After graduating from St. Meinrad College Seminary, he was sent to the Pontifical North American College in Rome for his theological studies.
He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Joliet on March 4, 1988. After serving in various parishes and in various diocesan positions, he was named auxiliary bishop for the Joliet Diocese on October 28, 2009 by Pope Benedict XVI and was ordained bishop on January 19, 2010. On October 18, 2017, Pope Francis named him the sixth Bishop of Evansville and he was installed on December 15 th at St. Benedict Cathedral. Bishop Siegel is a 4 th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a Knight Commander of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre. Bishop Siegel currently serves on the Administrative Committee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop as the representative for Region VII. |
Father Tyler Tenbarge serves as Director of the Office of Vocations for the Diocese of Evansville, as well as the Director of two residential discernment and formation programs for seminarians and men discerning their vocations. In addition to recruitment and oversight of diocesan seminarians, he has also served as the Chaplain for the Evansville Chapter of Legatus since 2019. Spiritual Adoption
Spiritual Adoption of the unborn is a prayer practice where people will pray for the unborn, specifically one unborn child who is at risk of being aborted, so that the Holy Spirit will intervene in the life of the parents and child so that the baby will be born.
