The Angelus

We meet in the lobby of the Catholic Center to pray the Angelus together and you are welcome to join us at noon each day.  If you cannot join us in person, pray with us from wherever you are.
SPECIAL INTENTIONS
For what shall we pray today?

THE ANGELUS
V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
V. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
R. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
R. Be it done unto me according to thy word.
Hail Mary....

V. And the Word was made Flesh.
R. And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary....

V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
V. Let us pray
ALL:  Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord, your grace into our hearts,
that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ your Son was made known by the message of an angel,
may by his passion and cross be brought to the glory of his resurrection.
Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
R. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.

V. May the divine assistance remain always with us
R. Amen
V. And may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace
R. Amen.

PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
Cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

V. Mary, Queen of Peace
R. Pray for us.

V.  St. Joseph, Protector of the Holy Church
R. Pray for us.

BLESSING BY CLERGY

Clergy: The Lord be with you
R: And with your spirit.
C:  + May almighty God bless you, in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.
R: Amen

Regina Caeli

During the Easter season, we pray the Regina Caeli rather than the Angelus.

V. Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.

R. For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.

V. Has risen, as he said, alleluia.

R. Pray for us to God, alleluia.

V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.

R. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.

Let us pray.

O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech you, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, his Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life, through the same Christ our Lord.

R. Amen.

THE MEMORARE
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
