THE MOST HOLY ROSARY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Picture
The Madonna of the Rosary~Bartolome Esteban Murillo

On September 12, 2020, the Diocese of Evansville was consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  From October of 2020 through the following 12 months (October 2021), the Office of Family and Life invited the Faithful of the Diocese of Evansville to pray the rosary together.  In that year, 20 parishes were represented on the Diocesan Rosary Prayer map.

And NOW our common prayer in the Blessed Rosary is needed more than ever.  SO, the Office of Family & Life asks that if you have been represented on this map in 2021, then you continue to pray the Blessed Rosary and invite others at your parish or in your community to do so.

And, if you are new to this ministry, then identify your parish below and begin to pray the Blessed Rosary for the intentions below or for your personal intentions...

    Some suggested/possible Intentions:
    • In Thanksgiving for our many blessings and gifts
    • For the specific intentions of our Blessed Mother and her Son, Jesus Christ
    • For the intercession by our Blessed Mother in our Diocese, our country, and in the world
    • For a reclamation of the inalienable rights of all human life, from conception to natural death
    • For national and state legislation (specifically in Texas and Miss. (Dobbs) to be passed and maintained that eliminates abortion in the US
    • For a change of heart and healing in Christ for those whose lives have been touched by abortion
    • For our young people who are leaving the Church and for our families to remain united through the intercession of the Holy Family
    • For all vocations:  For the Single Life, the Married Life, and the Ordained Life
    • For those who are searching for their future spouses
    • For those in turbulent marriages
    • For the physical and spiritual protection of those in vocations that protect others, including first responders and those in our military
    • For our personal intentions
    • For protection from evil in its many physical and spiritual forms
    • For the spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially impoverished
    • For our Bishop, Priests, Deacons, Religious, Parents, and Teachers to remain spiritually strong
    • For the intentions of Pope Francis and Bishop Joseph Siegel

This is a wonderful opportunity to pray in community, with a prayer group, your spouse, your family, your school.
Select your parish below.  We will see our prayer, united in community, at work in our Diocese on our Diocesan Rosary Map

Why the rosary?  Why now?
The Rosary is a powerful form of prayer that allows for the meditation on the lives of Jesus and Mary and has been affirmed by the Church many times over.  Our young persons, our marriages, our families, our parishes, our Church, our Nation, and indeed the entire world are in need of our Lady’s intercession as she points the Way to her Son, Jesus Christ.
